Welcome back fans and people who accidentally clicked on this. The boys are back (minus two of them) and we're joined by some friends from up North, Zach, Zane, and Brad of the melodic hardcore band Mayfield. We're talking about music, creativity, hockey, and so much more. They tell us about the band, what the music scene is like in Canada, how their creative process works, what goes into making a record, and if we'll ever see them stateside. We also dig into the emotions and vulnerability that goes into making a successful song, and how a good producer can help it stand out. Special shoutout to Dreambound for helping put them on the map, and the many bands they promote for keeping the genre alive. Justin brings up the band Rush to mutual disdain, and then we talk about the Stanley Cup. The lads from Mayfield are fans of the Ottawa Senators, while the Justin and Josh are Los Angeles Kings fans, but we find common ground in a shared dislike of the Anaheim Ducks.
