For those of you who are familiar with the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo novels by Steig Larsson, you know that Lisbeth Salander is one of the most badass characters to ever grace the pages of a novel or the big screen. However, the latest film in the series as produced by Sony called The Girl in the Spider's Web has taken her character and not only butchered the novel, but made her into something she was never intended to be, a Swedish batman. So this leads Josh to ask the question, is Hollywood butchering great stories for the sake of a social agenda? After all, Lisbeth Salander is already a prevalent character without being turned into a hyper violent vigilante against men. What do you think?
