We made it to episode fifty! This is a monumental day for us here at the Topicocalypse studio (which may or may not be somebody's kitchen). To be completely honest, we didn't think we'd make it this far, and we did! So thank you for following us into the audio abyss and back again. First we talk about Roseanne Barr who went on a racist rant on Twitter and then blamed Ambien. ABC quickly pulled the plug and put a bunch of people out of work. Was this an overreaction? Then we talk about politics on social media. Is it constructive? Do hashtag campaigns actually accomplish anything? Everybody has a voice now, but with no solutions being offered up, we've become a society of complaining. Sex, gender, race, politics, it's great that we're having conversations, but where is it going? We talk about all of this and more on this episode of Topicocalypse.
