1More Triple Driver BT In-Ear Headphones Review: Sound Is (Almost) Everything...

Updated: Feb 14, 2019

Bluetooth technology has become for many a must when it comes to their everyday lives. Whether it's going handsfree with a cell phone while driving, listening to some great tunes around the house with Bluetooth speakers or working out at the local club the strive to stay connected (yet be disconnected) wirelessly lures many into more and more wireless options. But with that search comes the question of just how small (or large) do they want that wireless experience to be. While the trend is leaning either for a more compact experience or an over the ear style to shut everything else out, the Triple Driver BT In-Ear Headphones from 1More (1More, MSRP $149.99 found on Amazon and 1More) is here to provide its own say in the equation.

The headphones themselves extend from a circular and flexible base that wraps itself around the neck. Controls can be easily found on the left side of this base and provide access for basic adjustments including power, volume, track and call manipulation. The button pressing that toggles between music and phone controls (based on a one or multiple presses) is not always reliable however and can lead to some frustration. If the provided standard ear tips are not exactly finding the best placement within the ear fear not because 1More has provided eight more options just to ensure a better fit regardless of what the earphones will be used for. Battery usage can get up to seven hours of life on a single charge with it recharging from empty to full in about an hour. If one's pressed for time the unit comes with a fast charging mechanism that if plugged in for just ten minutes the user can get up to two hours of emergency use.

Let's get into what will be the big draw and also the big drawback when it comes to this headphone option. On the plus side is very strong sound quality with a rich stereo feel and a deep bellowing bass that provides a needed oomph to your listening pleasure. The Bluetooth itself is optimized for better sound quality with iOS devices although we found that it works quite well on both Android and Apple compatible products. When it comes to a negative, one simply has to look at the design being a turn off for some potential users who are more fixated on other options that are lighter, less bulky or more enclosed and comfortable.

It's a shame for just that very reason many will look away from this otherwise very solid performing set of headphones. The sound quality produced by such small earbuds should make it qualify as a potential headphone or earbud replacement. Unfortunately due to its structure that's not the most ideal, the 1More Triple Driver BT in-Ear Headphones for many will be that audio experience they've been searching for but will ultimately pass on by.
