Level Up Christian/The Flaw in Millennial Christianity (Topicocalypse Episode 7 Part 4)

We've searched the entire galaxy for a topic worthy of discussion. We frolicked with Tan Tans on Hoth. We scoured the sands of Tatooine. Bryan had a short stay in an Imperial jail cell for body shaming Jabba the Hutt. And we even stopped by the moon of Endor to party with the Ewoks. Finally, after eight adventures, three of which were slightly disappointing, we fell upon a gold mine of controversy, and a topic that's sure to get us in trouble. After spending the past several years working for churches, Josh has made some interesting observations. With each generation that passes through the church comes different ideas on who God is, and how He should be worshiped or sought after. When it comes to Millennials, if you don't fit into the foundations on which those ideas are based, it's incredibly difficult to be a part of a church community or even have an independent relationship with God that isn't poisoned by the beliefs of others. Basically if you don't follow the formulas, you become ostracized. Being a Millennial christian has become like a video game, an exercise in leveling up and equipping the right accessories. Is this what religion should be? Find out how we feel about it on this episode of Topicocalypse.
