Director JJ Abrams and Disney released the first images for the upcoming Star Wars Episode IX, entitled Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, which has Rey, Finn, Poe Dameron and the Resistance facing off against Kylo Ren and The First Order one last time in the conclusion of this current rebooted trilogy but also the end of the Skywalker saga as well. Disney head Bob Iger recently mentioned to Bloomberg that Episode IX will be the last Star Wars film for a while as he stated “We will take a pause, some time, and reset...because the Skywalker saga comes to an end with this ninth movie. There will be other Stars Wars movies, but there will be a bit of a hiatus.”
